Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will focus on prescription dispensing, patient care, compliance, inventory management, and community engagement. This position is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services and contributing to public health initiatives.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of prescription dispensing processes and pharmaceutical care principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in pharmacy practice.
- Experience in inventory management and cost control strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and community engagement.
- Ability to lead immunization programs and provide public health education.
The Pharmacist's responsibilities will be:
- Oversee all aspects of prescription dispensing operations, ensuring accuracy and proper technique.
- Provide pharmaceutical care by assessing patient needs, developing therapeutic care plans, and educating patients on medication use and potential interactions.
- Conduct patient counseling on prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and nutritional supplements.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations governing pharmacy practice, with a focus on controlled substances.
- Participate in compliance audits to maintain high standards in storage, record-keeping, and operational practices.
- Monitor and manage inventory to maximize profitability while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the team to develop systems that improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Lead immunization programs, including COVID-19, influenza, and other recommended vaccines.
- Represent pharmacy services and products in community meetings and to healthcare providers.
