Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support laboratory operations by performing routine tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry) is preferred.
- 0-1 year of related experience, depending on educational background.
- Prior experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or a regulated industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with general lab equipment and techniques, including pipetting and buffer preparation.
- Ability to follow established written protocols, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards like GMP, GDP, and GLP is preferred but not required.
The QC Laboratory Support Technician's responsibilities will be:
- Document routine activities in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, including assisting with maintenance and calibration.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure the lab meets organizational standards.
- Support basic laboratory tasks such as pH measurement, weighing, and pipetting.
- Manage inventory for consumables and reagents, including ordering, preparing, and restocking.
- Assist with problem-solving efforts and laboratory investigations, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Clean laboratory glassware and organize workstations following 5S standards.
- Document findings in adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Handle and dispose of biohazards and hazardous waste in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on basic lab equipment.
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and ethical standards, including healthcare laws and regulatory guidelines.
- Execute assigned laboratory activities and methods with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
